Slovenia is often overlooked as a ski and snowboarding destination – despite the fact that Slovenia is very much part of the Alps and skiing and winter sports are hugely important to Slovenes.
Slovenian ski resorts are quite small, but with really great scenery and also offer relatively cheap skiing, with prices for lift passes, ski hire, tuition and refreshments less than those in better-known European resorts.
Pistes are uncrowded and especially good for families, beginners and intermediates. A really friendly atmosphere prevails – no pushing in the lift queues or one-upmanship.
You could try a variety of different Slovenia ski areas during your stay at Chalet Lenart, and even cross the border for a day in Austria or Italy.
